We’re the pioneers of fleece. We know how to make insulated fabrics that keep you comfortable and warm in any condition.
Main Story. 04. 12.
Dudley Stephens has made it its mission to seek out fabrics made from recycled content for its range of all-female, very wearable casual clothing. Its vibrant collection of Polartec tops, all made from post-consumer recycled content, has just got better with the launch of the Pocomo Pullover.
This latest addition is known by the brand as the ‘just-right pullover’ because of its active, polished, sleek and versatile good looks. And the ‘just-right’ element of the Pocomo Pullover goes a lot deeper than its good looks. Using Polartec® Power Air™ it also has some great environmental credentials too. Polartec has long been a leader in sustainable textiles: it invented the process of knitting technical fleece from post-consumer plastic bottles as far back as 1993. Since then, the brand has saved over two billion plastic bottles from landfill and counting. But Polartec Power Air isn’t just about recycled content. Power Air was originally engineered to reduce fibre shedding. In fact, this fabric has won awards for its unique construction that makes this possible. The magic lies in the encapsulated, lofted fibres which shed more than five times less than other premium mid-layer fabrics. While all fabrics will shed fibres over time, Polartec Power Air is a step forward in reducing the environmental impact of what we make and wear.
The Pocomo Pullover is the ultimate everyday piece for all seasons. It’s warm thanks to its innovative construction, highly durable and resists pilling so its smart, sleek good looks won’t diminish over time.
